Discover Syria Rally 2010

For the eighth consecutive year, the Syrian Automobile Club is organizing Discover Syria Rally.
From Damascus the oldest inhabited capital in the world to Lattakia the Syrian jewel on the Mediterranean to Aleppo the capital of the north, before the finish in Palmyra the heart of the Syrian desert you shall enjoy Syria the cradle of civilizations and store of human history.
The unparalleled success of Discover Syria Rally in the past years , and the High public and official acclaim for the presentation of Syria's tourist treasures in a sportive competition that any person can participate in, The Syrian Automobile Club (FIA,CIK member) , under the patronage of the Ministry of Tourism is organizing the Discover Syria Rally 2010 in a very rich and enjoyable program , and with the participation of a number of Arab movie stars and Syria's foreign Diplomats and business individuals and families from all over the world.
This event will include a great variety of the most important and historical, religious, and Touristic sites, in addition to the green mountains and beautiful sea shores.
This competition event in addition to the enjoyable driving and the entertainment program is a unique chance for individuals and families from all nationalities to better know Syria.
All participants must attend the Morning introductory meeting in Sheraton Damascus on the 11th of May. We therefore suggest that participants arrive in Syria no later than the 10th of May.

(Promo rate) Pay before January 20, 2010
Syria Rally Trip = 1,845 USD (One couple in double room)
From January 21 till April 25, 2010
Syria Rally Trip = 2,635 USD (One couple in a double room)
Additional person in the same room – 249 USD
These rates will include the requested room in the rally hotels starting from the 11th of May in Sheraton Damascus till the finish night in Palmre Dediman Hotel, all three meals during the rally.
(Cost not inclusive of airfare and rental of car during the rally trip)

| RALLY PARTICIPATION |
Any group of no less than two persons (driver and co-driver) with a valid driving license, are eligible to participate in their private car.
The participation in the rally does not require any special skills .It is based on adhering to the driving and safety rules, speed limits, knowledge of following the road book. It is not based on high speed skills.
Note:
1) The minimum number of persons per car is 2 persons (driver + co-driver)
2) Car rental cost will be borne by the participants separately. Depending on the types of car, the car rental cost ranges from US$60 to US$150 per day (Special preferential rates with Europcar)
3) Accommodation includes four nights in the rally hotels (mostly five Stars)
4) All meals during the Rally and a set of Rally T-Shirts and gifts |
