Asian Geographic magazine apologises for the error in AG 141 Issue 2/2020 (The Wood Edition) on the description of the individual found on the Malaysian Ringgit.
We have received feedbacks on this error and have immediately made the necessary correction to the error, and on the issue’s digital magazine, as indicated below.
Tuanku Abdul Rahman who can be found on the Malaysian Ringgit, was elected as the country’s first Yang di-Pertuan Agong or the Supreme Head of the Federation of Malaya on August 31, 1957 after the declaration of independence from Great Britain.
Known as being a kindly man, Tuanku Abdul Rahman learned to have a deep respect for the constitutional law, and the importance of having sympathy for his people from his Father. He passed away on April 1, 1960 in his sleep, before the completion of his five-year term.
On behalf of the Asian Geographic team, we apologise to everyone, especially the citizens of Malaysia, for the mistake.
